The formula is free from parabens, glycerine and propylene glycol normally found in conventional water-based lubricants. Parabens and propylene glycol are both known to be irritants, causing adverse reactions in many women. Glycerine is a sugar alcohol that provides a good environment for Candida albicans, which is the most common fungal organism responsible for vaginal yeast infections.

Swede has lowered the pH value to 4.5, which is the average vaginal pH value. The formula is condom-safe and can be used with all sex toys.
