* What is a DENIER?
DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the yarn used to make stockings and tights.
The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the finer and more transparent the stocking or tights. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker it is and the less visible the skin.
On the other hand, there are opaque tights and pantyhose made of microfiber, in 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. Their use is common in autumn-winter.
Tights and pantyhose with a low DEN index are normally used for the spring-summer season. The rest can be used throughout the year, for example, for ceremonies, as the fineness of the stockings makes them more elegant.
High numbers, 40, 70..., are generally used for autumn-winter.
